Overview

For the 4th year running We are One is reaching out to those in London who have to survive the winter without place to call home. But this year we are also expanding our efforts to include refugees in the Calais Jungle camp.

In the previous 3 years more than 100 fantastic volunteers have provided support to 500 homeless from £15,000 in donations. One night close to Christmas we hand out gift cards, clothing, meals and messages of hope and light to the homeless. The gift cards can be used to buy sleeping bags, winter clothing or other life necessities.

Once again homeless numbers are up in London and several thousand refugees are stranded in Calais. The need is bigger than ever.

Your funds will go to:

  1. Gift cards to shops that sell basic necessities such as sleeping bags and winter clothing. These will be handed out on at our Night for the Homeless event in London as we have done in previous years.

  2. Gear for surviving in the Calais refugee camp such as sleeping bags, winter clothing, tents, torches, dictionaries and more. We will drive these supplies to Calais and distribute in camp. We are working with the organisation Caravans for Calais who have people on the ground in the camp.

If you are not in a position to donate then we’d love a message of hope and light from you or a share, tweet…any shout-out. If you wish to send a message for the homeless/refugees then please use the comments section to leave your message including first name and city / country.

We can't wait to bring your donations to those fighting to survive on the streets of London and in the refugee camp in Calais!
